After the age of thirty, the skin starts ageing. This thirty is a transition time. Three decades of exposing the skin to the environment starts taking a toll on it. From thirty onwards the skin slows down on the serum production. This leads to wrinkling of the skin, sagging and pigmentation. Also, the skin around the eyes develops fine lines. There is no need to panic, though. Following a proper regimen can delay this ageing process.

Drink lots of water as it hydrates the skin. Include nuts, fruits and eggs in your diet. These things prevent the skin from appearing dull and lifeless. It is advisable to start using anti-ageing and under-eye creams from this age as it controls the process of ageing. Use a good moisturizer that contains SPF. The glycolic and lactic acid present in such creams help in repairing of dead cells. Since hands and feet are the most neglected, get them polished from a good parlor or spa. Most importantly, exercise regularly as it builds you from within.

Absorbing elastin into the skin

A large number of formulas to reduce the effect of age on skin have been designed specifically for absorbing elastin into the skin. But before using any of the products claiming the same, one must inquire whether elastin can really be absorbed into the skin.

The fact is that elastin cannot be absorbed by the skin and therefore, such products which rely on the formula of absorbing elastin cannot deliver what they claim. Till date, the best known method for restoring elastin is through the use of Cynergy TK containing formula, which is a combination of copper protein complexes and zinc.

So the bottom line is that though absorbing elastin into the skin is not possible, creation of new elastin cannot be ruled out. As mentioned earlier, Cynergy TK can help increase the elastin amount produced by the body and will ensure that you skin will look a lot younger without using any anti-aging formula.

It may come as a surprise to you that more than 140 skincare products in 2006 in the US contained caffeine, in comparison to only 21 just three years back. So what was the reason behind this sudden trend? Actually coffee and skincare are closely related.

The main reason behind introduction of coffee and caffeine into skin creams and lotions is the antioxidant and tightening properties of these.

Take for instance a coffee body scrub. It does a fantastic work at exfoliating and reduces the appearance of cellulite for some time. In addition, if you like coffee, the smell would be fantastic for you.

One more effective application of caffeine in skin product is in case of eye creams. With the use of caffeine in this delicate area, one can tighten fine lines that start to appear and also make it puffy. So it is not hard to understand why skincare and coffee are so closely associated. It really gives dramatic results.

A sudden change in fat cells’ structure and its enlargement is termed as cellulite. This may be due to thyroid’s low level activity or not much exercise. Generally fat cells present in butt or legs become much larger and this results in a bulged skin. So losing cellulite naturally becomes vital under these circumstances.

First priority should be to loose weight because even though after losing weight cellulite cells will be larger than normal ones, their visibility will be reduced. A large number of surgical methods are available but many people do not prefer it due to side effects.

Secondly, if you are into excessive of smoking or drinking, stop it and see visible results in just few weeks. You also need to take a healthy diet and exercise regularly, without which nothing can help.

Finally, three seaweed baths per week would also be important in removing cellulite naturally.

Wash your face with warm or hot water for three to four times without any soap or cleanser and then rinse it with cold water. This hot and cold therapy will clean the skin very effectively.

Use natural ingredients like homemade cleansers to clean your skin. A very effective cleanser is lemon and sugar. You can rub them on your skin and you will get soft and clean skin.

Use exfoliation to clean the skin. Natural exfoliation by using gram flour and mud can be excellent for any type of skin.

Monday, February 8th, 2010

nullRemoving body hair is an integral part of any woman’s beauty regimen. There are mainly two ways of epilating – one by shaving and the other by waxing.

Shaving is painless and convenient mean but it can be time consuming and the stubble can grow within a day or two. Shaving also darkens and dries the skin.

Waxing is messy and somewhat painful but it keeps the skin supple and the hair growth takes place slowly. Waxing is able to exfoliate the dead skin and thus the skin become more soft and glowing.

Some tips for epilating for beautiful skin:

  • Always use moisturizer after epilating. This will replenish the moisture that goes out due to hair removing.
  • Don’t use harsh hair removing lotions for long. This can rob the skin of its natural glow.
  • Use the method that will remove the hair follicle as this will slow hair growth for long duration.

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

nullCollagen is a protein that keeps the skin firm and supple. It also increases the elasticity of the skin so that it doesn’t sag or wrinkles easily. Though there are many skin products that profess increase the collagen level of the skin yet most of them are not effective. It is therefore important to increase the collagen level of the body naturally.

Eat foods that have vitamin C in large amount as vitamin C is responsible for producing collagen protein in the body. Vitamin A should also be taken as it repairs the skin cells which make the skin beautiful.

Eat foods that have omega 3 like salmon and cod. Omega 3 helps in increasing the collagen level of the skin.

When you are taking food to increase collagen level from inside, the external application of creams that have collagen can also help.

Avoid direct exposure to the sun’s UVA and UVB rays as they destroy collagen. Use good sunscreen lotion while going out.
